Snack Shack
A sure sign of Spring is seeing a parking lot full of classic cars at Snack Shack.
Jen and Brady Chapman are beginning their 18th season of welcoming friends and patrons to “Snack Shack” – A Skowhegan landmark on Rt. 201. Perfect for a stop whether you are heading north or south.
Snack Shack is a family business run by Jen, Brady, and their 4 sons (Jake, Zac, and twins Chase and Wyatt). Each member lends their skills to collectively work together and meet the needs of customers.
Customers enjoy eating in their classic car themed dining room. There are lots of Maine themed items to look at. Looking to enjoy the nice weather and a summer breeze, Snack Shack has the perfect place to relax outdoors with a selection of outdoor picnic tables. “Off Menu Specials!” such as American Chop Suey or Chicken Croquettes are announced as Daily Specials on their Facebook page.
When visiting Snack Shack on Tuesdays, you will find the parking lot filled with classic cars and pick-ups. Owners encourage you to look over their treasured vehicles and ask questions. The friendly atmosphere is contagious. A great time to introduce your kids and grandkids to classic cars from your youth.
Snack Shack is open Tuesday through Friday 11am to 8pm. You can order online using the Clover app and have your meal ready when you arrive. Brady and Jen suggest trying their new kiosk ordering in the lobby. They want you to know they are currently hiring for summer employment.
In January of 2023 Brady’s dream business came on the market. Vurle and Denice Jones, long time owners of ll Clean Car & Pet Wash just a few doors down from Snack Shack, said they were ready to retire. It was a business that had always interested Brady and the owners knew that. Jen & Brady bought the business. ll Clean Car and Pet Wash became part of their family’s business. It has one automatic and 2 self wash bays, open 24/7. A private and safe spa was created for you and your pooch. Jen thought of everything including a warm water bath with shampoo & conditioners, a blow dryer, and disposable towels. Of course there are treats and toys available too. They use an honor system for the extras. $10.00 will give you 12 minutes to wash and blow dry your companion. Open 9am - 8:30pm. daily. Give them a try.
Next time you are traveling through Skowhegan, swing by their shops on Route 201. Enjoy the great food, enthusiastic crew, and leave with a full belly, clean car and pup too.
